FileBrowser remains the best option if you're looking for a file manager that supports a variety of external connections and also integrates deeply with iOS.Federico Viticci - MacStories - Full Article
For me one of the best apps in the App Store, I use it daily as a replacement for the terrible Apple Files app and have integrated both SharePoint and OneDrive destinations. Especially the possibility to work with multiple tabs and to copy or move files there helps immensely. The support responds very quickly and is extremely helpful - the app is worth every penny!
This app has totally changed the game for me when it comes to managing files on my iPad. Here are a few things I really love about it: the way it actually moves files instead of copying them, the seamless connection to cloud services and my NAS, and the flexibility to switch between different views. Theres a lot more to this app, but one thing I want to highlight is the excellent support. Im so glad I made the switch!
If only all app developers where as good as these, they respect privacy, one off payment and a great stable app. It has saved the day so many times. Its simply brilliant. Makes file sharing while on the go simple. File sharing is simple when its with other Apple devices but now my iOS devices easily file share with non Apple devices too 8-) FileBrowser has always got my files to where I need them, this includes my website, other computers on the network, my colleagues non iOS devices, even the lighting consoles I work on. Its a great app with developers that listen to feedback and constantly add new and useful features. Thanks for making a great app while respecting users privacy.
This app is essential for serious iPad users. The developer releases lots of updates, fixing bugs and adding new features. I use my iPad both on the road and docked with a TB4 dock, 34 ultrawide, mouse and keyboard and this app makes it a viable desktop ( I also have a Mac Studio and some days I dont even switch it on, I just use the iPad and this app makes it a viable workflow. File management is actually better than Finder on the Mac. What are you waiting for, buy it now! To the Developer, Thank you for a fantastic app, is there any chance you could improve the Crop photos option? Make it Freeform rather than the current Square, Tall or Wide options? Thank you
Does everything you could possibly want, including quickly and easily connecting to Windows and Linux shares and viewing and playing every popular file type. It will even let you automate moving files between folders on your Windows or Linux share using a timer. It also works perfectly with IOS shortcuts. Truly, what's not to like? It's so much better than FE File Explorer! I wish I'd bought this years ago!.
I was very happy using Filebrowser. I noticed that FileBrowser Professional offered me the ability to locally sync files to my iPhone and iPad so that would have access, even if it didn't have a network connection. I decided to upgrade for nominal fee. You can set up a full synchronization, or use it as a back up. It works flawlessly and it's fast. I then noticed the additional capability of writing custom scripts that can do a wide variety of tasks. These can be scheduled or you can run them manually. A couple of examples are provided. No programming language required. You simply pick which files and folders you want action taken on, select from the various actions, and it's done. You can do this across multiple clouds. The Pro version also offers quite a few more connectivity options than the standard product. I have to say one of the things that impresses me the most about stratospherix, the company that makes these products, is their support. If I report a bug, I almost always get a response within 24 hours. If there is a workaround, they will provide it. The fixes usually come out with additional enhancements on a regular basis. If you need an app that allows you to comprehensively manage files and folders, while never having to leave that app, you definitely want FileBrowser Professional. From my experience as a retired IT pro, it really is a best in class product for iOS.
Just like my title says, I connected to my local networked storage system, as well as Microsoft, one drive, dropbox, box, Google Drive, and my local networked PCs, all within about 15 to 20 minutes. This really did work and thats probably what matters to all of you. If you want to use your iPad, or iPhone to access all of your networks storage, other computers on your network, and cloud storage, this would seem to be the app that will do it for you, effortlessly!
Works extremely well. Handles networked storage much more reliably than any Apple made application on any platform. Easy to set up; easy to use. FileBrowser takes away 95% of the pain of iPadOS file management. I can't say enough good things about how wll it handles network and cloud storage.
I rarely write reviews but this app deserves much more promotion. It has turned my iPad to a professional business device with a full suite of file management tools that youd expect on a desktop. The way the Pro version works with Cloud storage is brilliant and offers huge flexibility. Clearly a product borne out of frustration with the apps that come with the major cloud providers, this app is a must for anyone wanting more than just syncing to their devices.
Had the normal one for tears and planned to get the pro one but never did until a few days ago and it definitely worth the price. Amazing functionalities. The app is the best browser app i've come across since for 10+ years. Its a great feeling to know you have a tool that can help you in every situation. Also the price is nothing compared to some other apps like Documents which has a monthly price of this app but cant compete with FileBrowser Pro. But most important feature is an amazing support team that explain every issue as simple as they can for you to understand and help you in every way. The support team is famous for being fast and thorough. I have made some support teams angry at me for being a novice but stratospherix team take their time explaining everything which is the best support experience i've had ever.
I have tried a lot of so called file browsers and this by far is the best. While we have Files on iOS, File Browser Professional is far better. I can connect to devices such as my NAS that Files wont. I have been using File Browser Professional for a few years now and it is worth every penny! Plus the developers are constantly making upgrades to even make the app better.

This app is a one stop shop for file management at a level that Apple do not provide. Everything from handy shortcuts for regularly used folders, to intricate multi destination back ups and file sync. FileBrowser Professional also handles split screen and slide over modes for easy drag and drop copying between destinations. The app has very keen and responsive developers who remain dedicated to keeping their app(s) in good working order and adding new, genuinely useful features.
Ive tried every file management app on the store and FileBrowser Professional blows the others away. Great UI and fantastic functionality - every time I think, can I do this in FileBrowser? then sure enough, I can. The cloud sync feature is the icing on the cake, always have your important files with you even when offline.
I honestly think this is the most useful utility on my iPad and iPhone. Connects to servers, cloud storage, acts as a video player, a book reader and much more. The Swiss Army Knife of iOS Utilities. I use the Apple TV Version and upgraded from Standard to Pro for the Shortcuts functionality. The couple times I needed support I got it immediately. Id give it 6 stars if I could. *July 2022 update. You can now rename photos using exif data! No more running my clunky shortcut! Thank you guys so much!
I wanted something that could join iOS / S3 / Local / Cloud etc... This is it... this thing is the best thing since sliced bread and Pyramids. Im very impressed so far!
Why is it worth paying for File Browser Pro? Because the app is a one stop shop for file management at a level that Apple do not provide. Everything from handy shortcuts for regularly used folders, to intricate multi destination back ups and file sync. The app also handles split screen and slide over modes for easy drag and drop copying or transferring between destinations. FileBrowser Professional also has very responsive developers who remain dedicated to keeping their app(s) in good working order and adding new, genuinely useful features.
I paid for FileBrowser Pro because the original app was so great that I wanted to support the developer. I think it's really worth doing that when they create apps as good as this. It really does contain everything you need for file management. I've got it connecting to my Mac, to my photos, to all my cloud documents and more. It lets you connect to Google Drive, Dropbox and others. You really don't need anything else - this app does everything on every file service. And that includes recording and playing hi res audio and video files. You can do pretty much everything in this app. The developers have done such a great job - this app is really worth your money.
I have an iPad Pro and it's been frustrating how hobbled it is out of the box. This is what the Files app should be. I can edit Google Drive and Dropbox files in place. I can move files from Dropbox to my Time Machine. And it's all inside an app that feels like it should come with iOS standard.
With 3 NAS drives, 4 Computers, Google Drive, Dropbox and One Drive, being able to access various files on the devices, copy or delete them was something that my iPad Pro and iPhone struggled with, but since getting this app, this is no longer an issue, its fast, with an excellent easy to use interface and every time I use it, I come away impressed. The developers support it with various bug fixes and new features. So to summarise, if you need to access, manage or delete files on your various devices and services, you need this. Apple should buy it.
This is what Apple's totally crappy rudimentary Files app should have been in iPadOS. Excellent application, does mostly anything one would want. Well worth the price and I am happy. Thanks to the developer, please keep it up.
Works perfectly to replace the crappy and buggy Files app. Everything is clear, consistent and reliable. Folder size info, smb connection, folder shortcut on desktop, better internal media player, file transfer progress dialog (finally!), etc.
Convenient, fast, easy. I work as an illustrator from my iPad & often have to transfer files to my PC for final adjustments in Photoshop. I recently had to quickly turnaround a project of 150+pages, that would typically mean exporting each one individually to google drive/Dropbox/etc, waiting, downloading on my PC, waiting. Because this project was so big I knew it would take too long to work that way. After quick research I found FileBrowser Professional and I don't know why I didn't get this app sooner. Such a game changer if you work across platforms like I do. It makes it so easy to transfer files instantaneously between my PC and iPad - it feels less like two separate entities and now more like two arms of the same entity. Can't recommend this program enough.
So many Apps prompt you to write reviews - this one doesn't! But despite always being brilliant, the developers continue to add more and more features making it better and better! Recent interface changes are so outstanding that I just felt I had to write a review! It's been one of my favourite and most used Apps since I became an iOS (iPad 1) user. It offered much of the functionality of Apple's File's App long before that appeared and without FileBrowser (FB), I could never have have used an IPad for real work. With FB, I can easily read and write my files on my NAS filesystem (using Samba) which is where I prefer to keep all my stuff, and access files on other systems. When Apple made Files available, I thought FileBrowser might go the way of so many Apps. But it has continued to be well supported and the latest interface changes and new features mean that it's superiority over Files has grown. In fact FileBrowser complements Files and makes it much more useable. My thanks to the FileBrowser developer team - keep up your great work!
FileBrowser Professional is everything that's missing plus a whole lot more when it comes to accessing files on servers, and doing all the basics like copying/moving files, up/downloading, editing text files, creating text files and folders - plus a whole lot more. The fact that it connects instantly and perfectly to servers and cloud services and allows such tremendous interoperability among all of them makes it the all-time MUST HAVE app if you routinely access/create/edit/copy/move files around on cloud and network servers. It lets you do everything even easier than on a PC or Mac connected to your external storage. It's just great from the look and feel to the functionality and reliability. Hats off to this app and to the team behind it.
