How to Find your IP Address on Windows 7
If you are connecting to your Windows 7 PC from another device on your network, you may need to know its IP address so it can be accessed directly over Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
This is commonly required when setting up file sharing, network connections, or connecting from apps such as FileBrowser.
Find your IP address on Windows 7
If you start a Command Prompt via the Windows start menu->All Programs->Accessories->CommandPrompt, a window with a black background should appear, if you enter the command "ipconfig" into it and press the Return key, you should get output similar to the following:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.12
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1
The "IP Address" is the information we're looking for, and is four numbers separated by dot characters, so is "192.168.1.12" in the example above.
Please enter the IP address into FileBrowser's "Name or URL" field and try to connect again.
