Missing Files in Windows XP Shared Folders

FileBrowser can successfully connect to Windows XP shared folders, but you may notice that some files or subfolders appear missing or the folder looks empty. FileBrowser might not be showing system and hidden files which you may be expecting to see when you browse.

This guide explains how to restore correct file visibility.

  1. Tap the 'Menu' button.
  2. Tap the 'Config' tab at the bottom.
  3. Scroll down to the 'File Browsing Preferences' section.
  4. Switch on 'Show Hidden Files'.
  5. Switch on 'Show System Files'.
