Hidden and System Files Visible in Windows XP Shared Folders
FileBrowser can connect to Windows XP shared folders and display all files returned by the system, including hidden and system files that are normally not visible in everyday use.
If you are seeing more files than expected, this is usually normal Windows XP behavior rather than an error.
To hide these files in FileBrowser, use the following steps:
- Tap the 'Menu' button.
- Tap the 'Config' tab at the bottom.
- Scroll down to the 'File Browsing Preferences' section.
- Switch off 'Show Hidden Files'.
- Switch off 'Show System Files'.
