Connect to Enterprise Filess WebDAV Server on iOS

How to Start and Connect to an iOS WebDAV Server

This guide explains how to start the Enterprise Files WebDAV server on your iPhone or iPad and connect to it from macOS, Windows, or another iOS device to browse and transfer files.

Start the WebDAV Server

To start the WebDAV server on your device:

  • From Enterprise Files's home screen tap the cog icon
  • Select "WebDAV Server"
  • Set a user name and password for the server here
  • Turn on the Enterprise Files locations you want to share via WebDAV using the toggle buttons
  • Tap the "Start Server" button.

Connect to your WebDAV Server

Connect to your WebDAV server from another device. The formats you have to enter these vary from device to device. Select what you are connecting from below to see the steps:

Connect to WebDAV from macOS

Connect to Enterprise Files WebDAV Server From macOS

  1. Switch to finder and tap "Go" in the top toolbar
  2. Select "Connect to Server"
  3. Enter the Mac url that was displayed in Enterprise Files here. It will be something like "http://192.168.1.12:20002/" and tap "Connect"
  4. Enter the username and password you set on your device earlier and tap "Connect"

Connect to WebDAV from Windows

Connect to Enterprise Files WebDAV Server From Windows

  1. Open Windows File Explorer
  2. Enter the url that was displayed in Enterprise Files into the top bar. It will be something like "\\192.168.1.12@20002\DavWWWRoot".
  3. Enter your username and password you set on your device earlier and tap "Connect"

Connect to WebDAV from iOS

Connect to Enterprise Files WebDAV Server From Another iPad/iPhone

  1. Open Enterprise Files and tap "Add Location"
  2. Select "iPad/iPhone" in the connection wizard, this will open Enterprise Files's WebDAV client.
  3. Tap "Scan Now" and select your device from the list
  4. Enter the username and password you set earlier and tap "Save"
  5. This will auto-connect the first time and ask for your password again. Enter it and tap "Connect" and that's it
