How to Find Your Computer Name in Windows 10 for Network Access
When connecting to a Windows 10 PC over the network, you may need to know its computer name (also called the hostname). This is the name used to identify the device when browsing or connecting via SMB file sharing.
It is not the name of a shared folder — it is the name of the PC itself on the network.
Windows uses this name for network discovery, direct connections, and SMB access.
