Advanced
macOS Custom Task - Change Image IPTC Properties in Bulk
Create multiple tasks to set IPTC properties in bulk. This feature is great for professional photographers that have repeat clients requiring specific image properties.
- Click the Sync Tasks location on your home screen.
- Then click the "+" button in the bottom toolbar and select "Create Custom Task".
- Give your task a name like "IPTC - Wayland Work"
This will run the task on the files in the current folder.
Use files from:
Change the top dropdown to "the current folder".
Then click the "Insert Step" button.
Only update the files in the current folder NOT in subfolders.
If you want SubFolders too then simply change this to "files in subfolders".
In the new section, change the top dropdown to "Including files/folders".
Change the second dropdown to "files only".
Then click the "Insert Step" button.
Set your IPTC properties.
In the new section, change the top dropdown to "Set image properties"
Select the second dropdown that is currently set to "none"
This brings up a dialog where you can set your IPTC properties. Once done click "Set".
Run task:
Leave it as "Manual".
Click "Close"
To run this Task simply navigate into the folder with your images and use the toolbar actions menu and select "Run Custom Task", selecting your new "IPTC - Wayland Work" task.
